Material characteristics:Bakelite (phenolic resin) is a thermosetting plastic with high insulation and strong heat resistance. However, due to 

its high brittlenessand poor thermal conductivity, it is prone to surface burns, edge cracking and unstable dimensional accuracy during processing.

Processing requirements: 

A new energy electric vehicle manufacturer needs to batch process bakelite sealing rings with an outer diameter of 20mm and a thickness of 10mm. The requirements are that the parallelism of the two end surfaces should be ≤0.005mm, the flatness should be ≤0.1mm, and the surface roughness Ra should be ≤0.4μm.

processing.

Grinding wheel speed:150-950 rpm (reduce the risk of thermal damage)

Cooling system:high-pressure atomized coolant to reduce thermal deformation of bakelite
